If you experience a problem with your PayPlan by RBC loan you can contact the PayPlan Customer Relations Centre at 1-844-915-2211.
If PayPlan Customer Relations Centre is unable to resolve the complaint, or at the client’s request, the complaint will be escalated to RBC Client Care by the PayPlan Customer Relations Centre.

In December of 2022, the PayPlan by RBC program was transfered from Royal Bank of Canada to RBC Ampli Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada. RBC Ampli Inc. is now the lender for all PayPlan by RBC loans.
Application

You can start at the website of any participating online retailer and follow the prompts to apply for PayPlan by RBC. Applying is quick and you’ll know soon whether or not your application has been approved. You will also need to read and accept the Terms and Account Disclosures before proceeding.
Will applying for a PayPlan by RBC loan impact my credit score? Will applying for a PayPlan by RBC loan impact my credit score?
Applying for a PayPlan by RBC loan only results in a soft inquiry and it will not affect your credit score.

Applicants must have a valid Canadian post-paid (e.g. monthly, bi-weekly, etc.) mobile phone plan and an email address so we can verify the applicants’ identity. Prepaid phone plans cannot be used to apply.

Your payment will be due no fewer than 30 days after the retailer has notified RBC Ampli Inc. of your completed order.

If you experience a problem with your PayPlan by RBC application you can contact the PayPlan Customer Relations Centre at 1-844-915-2211.
What should I do if I am not receiving my token code? What should I do if I am not receiving my token code?
You can receive a token code at the mobile phone number associated with your PayPlan by RBC account. If you are experiencing difficulty, please ensure you have a strong cell signal for your phone. Please note, if you have attempted and failed to input your token 5 times, your account may be locked. Please wait at least 15 minutes before retrying.
When you request a new token code, it will invalidate a previously requested token code. Token codes will expire in approximately 15 minutes. If your token code expires, please request a new one.
Can I have more that one PayPlan by RBC loan at a time? Can I have more that one PayPlan by RBC loan at a time?
Yes. For every new purchase with PayPlan by RBC you will have to reapply and follow the normal application and decisioning process.
Can I use a Prepaid mobile phone number with PayPlan by RBC products? Can I use a Prepaid mobile phone number with PayPlan by RBC products?
No, prepaid mobile phone numbers cannot be used as the primary account phone number with the application process and servicing of PayPlan by RBC Products.
Can I put money down? Can I put money down?
Down payments are not accepted with PayPlan by RBC financing. However, once you’ve taken out a loan, you can prepay at any time without penalty which may shorten the duration of your loan.
How is my credit eligibility determined? How is my credit eligibility determined?
PayPlan by RBC determines the creditworthiness of applicants by reviewing factors available through your credit report in addition to your borrowing and payment history with PayPlan by RBC.
Why wasn't my purchase approved? Why wasn't my purchase approved?
Credit decisions are made primarily based on the information in your credit report. We are not able to manually override these decisions.
If you believe the information in your credit report is inaccurate, we recommend you contact TransUnion, request a copy of your credit report and verify the information in your credit profile.

PayPlan by RBC has its own credit granting criteria that may be different from other types of credit applications. Each credit product is subject to its own standard credit granting criteria. There are a few reasons you may have been declined due to PayPlan’s credit granting criteria. Some of these include:
1) You may have asked the credit bureaus to put an alert on your profile that prevents us from extending you credit during your online application
2) You may not meet our minimum credit granting requirements

PayPlan by RBC has its own credit granting criteria which may be different from the credit granting criteria for other types of credit applications. Each credit product is subject to its own standard credit granting criteria. While credit score is a factor that is considered when qualifying you for a PayPlan loan, it is not the only factor we look at.
Some of the other factors may include but are not limited to: Credit Score, Prior Credit History, Prior bankruptcies, and other factors.
Unfortunately we cannot share a specific reason for decline, or any of the specific factors that are part of our confidential credit underwriting requirements.

PayPlan by RBC has its own credit granting criteria which may be different from the credit granting criteria for other types of credit applications. Each credit product is subject to its own standard credit granting criteria. Unfortunately we cannot share a specific reason for the decline, or any of the other factors that are part of our confidential credit underwriting requirements.
Why was PayPlan by RBC unable to verify my identity? Why was PayPlan by RBC unable to verify my identity?
PayPlan by RBC has its own identity verification process that may be different from other types of credit applications. In some cases failure to verify identity could result from a mismatch between the information you have provided with the information that is on your credit bureau profile. Some examples of this may include but are not limited to:
1) A spelling error in the information you provided in your application
2) A mismatch between the information in your application (ex. Address, name) and the information on your credit bureau profile
Unfortunately we cannot share the specific reason for the identity verification failure, or any of the other elements that are part of our identity verification process.
Billing & Payments
You can only make payments on your loan via Pre-Authorized Debit. You cannot make payments via credit card.
To make a payment online, visit members.rbcpayplan.com and enter the mobile phone number associated with your PayPlan by RBC account. Once logged in, you can view the details of your loan, make a one-time payment or set up recurring auto-payments.

Customers can view their PayPlan payment schedule by logging into their account through the PayPlan website.
Your first payment will be due no fewer than 30 days from the date the retailer notifies RBC Ampli Inc. of your completed order. Subsequent payments are due on that date every month for the duration of your loan term. To view your payment schedule, visit members.rbcpayplan.com.
PayPlan by RBC will send reminders before your payment is due. You can also enroll in AutoPay by visiting members.rbcpayplan.com to set up recurring auto-payments

The term of the loan and the dates your payments are due are predetermined from the date that your order is placed. Currently, we offer terms from 6 – 60 months (depending on your purchase). Your first payment will be due no fewer than 30 days from the date of your completed order. Subsequent payments are due on that date every month for the duration of your loan term. To view your payment schedule, simply visit members.rbcpayplan.com.

To update your payment information online, visit members.rbcpayplan.com and enter the mobile phone number associated with your PayPlan by RBC account. Once logged in, you can update your payment account.
Can I pay back my loan earlyCan I pay back my loan early
Yes. You can prepay anytime for all or part of your loan. There is never a penalty for paying early. Any prepayments will go directly towards your principal balance which may shorten the duration of your loan.
Will paying back a portion of my loan early change my monthly installment amount?Will paying back a portion of my loan early change my monthly installment amount?
Paying back a portion of your loan early will not adjust your monthly installment amount. Any prepayments made will be applied toward your principal balance which may shorten the duration of your loan.
How do I make a payment in addition to my next installment payment?How do I make a payment in addition to my next installment payment?
You can make additional payments to PayPlan at any time with no penalties. If you wish to make a payment in addition to your next installment payment, sign in to your account at members.rbcpayplan.com and follow the steps below:
1. Click “Make a Payment”, select “Pay other amount”.
2. Enter the amount you wish to pay and click “Continue to Payment”.
3. Add or select the bank account for your payment.
4. Select the checkbox that confirms you’ve reviewed the terms and then click “Submit Payment”.
What happens if I pay late?What happens if I pay late?
If you don’t submit your payments by your due date, your account will be past due and collection activity may begin. Paying late may also impact your eligibility for future PayPlan by RBC loans.

If a payment to your PayPlan by RBC loan fails, PayPlan by RBC will attempt to re-process the payment within 5 business days. Common causes for failed payments are holds placed by the issuing bank, insufficient funds, or a recent update to the bank account numbers.
As a reminder, PayPlan by RBC only accepts payments made from Pre Authorized Debit. No other payment methods are accepted. If you have additional questions about a failed payment, please contact your bank for more information.

Cost of Borrowing
A Cost Of Borrowing (COB) disclosure is a document extended to PayPlan buyers at the time of checkout detailing the debt the buyer has agreed to repay. This document will include the buyer’s interest rate, loan term, monthly due date, and total repayment amount by the paid-off date.
To view your COB, visit members.rbcpayplan.com If any updates are made to your COB throughout your repayment process, PayPlan will notify you immediately.

When you sign the Cost Of Borrowing (COB) disclosure with PayPlan by RBC, you agree to accept the terms of taking an instalment loan from RBC Ampli Inc.

In-store Mobile Wallet
You can download the PayPlan by RBC Wallet app here for Android or here for iOS. If you cannot find the PayPlan by RBC Wallet app, you will have to update your Operating System.
Once the PayPlan by RBC Wallet app is downloaded:
1. Close the PayPlan by RBC Wallet app if it is open
2. Log back into the PayPlan application
3. Use the Restore a Virtual Card feature – your funds are loaded onto a virtual card
4. Select the virtual card with the same date as the date of the loan you agreed to and want to use to checkout today. Note: You can only use the virtual card if the loan was agreed to within the past 7 days including today.
5. Select Proceed
6. For Samsung device users: You will also have to click the PayPlan by RBC icon in the URL
If you do not wish to download the PayPlan by RBC Wallet app:
Ensure the following settings are enabled:
Android phone
1. Operating System has been updated to Android 9 or higher
2. Google Play Instant setting is enabled in the Google Play Store
- Open the Google Play app > At the top right, tap the profile icon > Tap Settings > General > Google Play Instant > Turn on the ‘Upgrade web links’ option
- Open the Samsung Internet Browser app > At the bottom right, tap on the icon with 3 horizontal lines > Tap Settings > Useful features > Turn on the ‘Open links in other apps’ option iPhone
2. App Clip setting is enabled
- Open Settings > Tap Screen Time > Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions > Turn Off Content & Privacy Restrictions

The PayPlan by RBC Wallet app is provided by RBC Ampli Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada.
The PayPlan by RBC Wallet app allows users to add virtual cards to your mobile wallet.
You can uninstall the app at any time after adding your virtual card to your mobile wallet.
To uninstall the PayPlan by RBC Wallet app:
- For iOS devices: Highlight and hold down the PayPlan by RBC Wallet app icon on your screen. There will be an “x” mark located on the upper-right hand corner of the icon. Tap the “x” mark and the app will be automatically deleted from your device.
- For Android devices: Go to Settings. Select “Apps” (or “Application manager” on some devices). Locate and select the PayPlan by RBC Wallet app and then tap “Uninstall”. This will automatically delete the app from your device. For Android device users, the PayPlan by RBC Wallet app captures Device ID and Product Interaction data for the purposes of analyzing user behaviour within the PayPlan by RBC Wallet app. RBC Ampli Inc. cannot and will not identify you using this data. If you do not want data captured, you should not add the PayPlan by RBC loan funds to your mobile wallet. You are able to withdraw your consent by uninstalling the PayPlan by RBC Wallet app from your device.
This mobile app does not store any personal or user information. If you do not want data passed to your mobile wallet, you should not add your PayPlan by RBC funds to your mobile wallet. When you select to install the PayPlan by RBC Wallet app, you are consenting to any future updates or upgrades. Depending on your device, operating system or user-initiated settings, these might be automatically installed. You are able to withdraw your consent by uninstalling the PayPlan by RBC Wallet app from your device. Standard data rates may apply.

PayPlan by RBC does not consolidate multiple PayPlan by RBC loans into one PayPlan by RBC loan as each loan was generated for a particular checkout amount and has its own corresponding Personal Loan Agreement.

You will not receive paper monthly statements however you can print your transaction history from the online members portal. To view your payment schedule and account details, or to print your transaction history online, visit members.rbcpayplan.com. If you would like a paper copy of your personal loan agreement, or COB agreement please contact us at 844-915-2211.

No changes are allowed to an order that has already been placed with PayPlan by RBC financing. If you wish to cancel your order and start over, please contact the retailer directly for an order cancellation.

To inquire about a return, please contact the retailer directly. All returns are subject to the return policies of PayPlan by RBC’s retailers.
When a retailer processes a return to your PayPlan by RBC loan order, a partial or full refund will be automatically applied to your loan. Your PayPlan by RBC account status and loan balance will be adjusted accordingly. It can take up to 5 business days to to see the adjusted loan balance.
If a partial refund is issued to your PayPlan by RBC loan, your loan amount will be adjusted to reflect your new remaining balance. If a refund results in a credit balance on your loan account, the credit balance will be returned to you through the bank account used to make payments on your loan. This process can take up to 10 business days.

When a retailer processes a return to your PayPlan by RBC loan order, a partial or full refund will be automatically applied to your loan. Your PayPlan by RBC account status and loan balance will be adjusted accordingly. It can take up to 5 business days to see the adjusted loan balance.

PayPlan by RBC applicants must be Canadian residents and over the age of majority in their province/territory of residence (i.e., 18 in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saskatchewan; 19 in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, Yukon Territory).
Applicants must also have a valid Canadian post-paid (e.g. monthly, bi-weekly, etc.) mobile phone plan and an email address so we can verify the applicants’ identity. Prepaid phone plans cannot be used to apply.

Applying for a PayPlan by RBC loan only results in a soft inquiry (soft-credit check) and will not affect your credit score. Please note that, after your loan begins, RBC Ampli Inc. (which operates PayPlan by RBC) may report your monthly and final repayment status to credit reporting agencies, which may show up on your credit report and could impact your score.

Load your approved loan funds onto your Apple or Google Wallet on your mobile phone and tap to pay at the IKEA point-of-sale terminal in-store. Your loan will only be for the amount you use at checkout, and any remaining funds (if applicable) will not be included in your loan amount (i.e., you will only be borrowing the amount used to pay for your purchase at checkout, up to the amount for which you were approved). The virtual card cannot be used for IKEA purchases online or via the IKEA mobile app.
If you're an Android user having trouble adding the virtual card to your Google Wallet, download the PayPlan by RBC Wallet app to your device. Once downloaded, use the 'Restore Card' option to add the virtual card to your Google Wallet. You can download the app here.
REMEMBER: You must add the virtual card to your mobile wallet to transact. Virtual cards need to be used within 48 hours from the time you were approved for the loan regardless of IKEA store open hours. Unused virtual cards are cancelled after 48 hours. An unused loan will be cancelled within 7 days from the time you were approved for the loan and will remain on your credit profile until that time.

When shopping online at IKEA, PayPlan by RBC will display as a payment option when your IKEA cart is more than $500 and less than $15,000. Choose PayPlan by RBC financing as your payment option at checkout, and you will be directed to the PayPlan by RBC application. Follow the steps shown to apply for and complete your purchase with PayPlan by RBC financing.
PayPlan by RBC loan limits are after tax so keep that in-mind when creating your online IKEA order.
IKEA customers can use PayPlan by RBC to apply for an instalment loan between $500 and $15,000 with terms ranging from 12 – 48 months for eligible IKEA products and services.
PayPlan by RBC financing and installment loans are not available for: IKEA Food products purchased at the IKEA Swedish Food Market, IKEA Restaurant, IKEA Bistro; IKEA gift cards; purchases with IKEA Kitchen Services installation; third party services not billed by IKEA.

Billing & Payment
You can only make payments toward your PayPlan by RBC loan via Pre-Authorized Debit. You cannot make payments by other means (e.g., credit card, cheque, etc.).
To make a payment online, visit members.rbcpayplan.com and follow the log in steps.
Once logged in, you can view the details of your loan, make a one-time payment or set up recurring auto-payments.
Your first loan repayment will be due 30 days after you make a purchase at IKEA either online or in-store.
