The Value Program is just one of the many benefits of RBC Vantage. If you enrol an eligible account into the Value Program, you can start earning Avion points on debit purchases made with your enrolled account. Plus, you can save on your enrolled account’s monthly fee if you hold at least two additional eligible products and complete monthly account activities, including direct deposit, eligible bill payment or pre-authorized payments.
Your Avion points, as well as any monthly fee rebates from the Value Program, will be shown in your Vantage Snapshot.
Your Vantage Snapshot will appear in the RBC mobile app if you have an eligible account, and have saved $2 in cost savings or earned at least 1 Avion point.
Note: If you are a Private Banking client, you will not be able to see the Vantage Snapshot.
The Vantage Snapshot was created to give you a clear picture of the benefits you get with your eligible RBC bank account. It’s our way of showing you the value you get and helping you find additional ways to save and earn.
The Cost Savings section shows the different ways you have saved money during the calendar year (January 1 to December 31) by using your eligible RBC personal bank account – for example, any savings on monthly account fees, rebates on annual credit card fees, and savings on gas with Petro-Canada. Some of the savings amounts may update more regularly than others and at different times of the month.
Note: USD and Leo’s Young Savers® accounts are not visible in the Cost Savings details.
Yes—in your Vantage Snapshot, you’ll be able to see a section with the total amount of savings earned at the pump during the calendar year for all eligible linked accounts and credit cards (i.e. cash saved and Avion points earned on gas). You can choose to link any eligible RBC debit or credit card to your Petro-Points card in RBC Online Banking or the RBC Mobile app.
Note: Your Vantage Snapshot will only show your savings earned since the first day of the current calendar year and will not display the number of Petro-Canada points earned.
The Available Points Balance is the total Avion points balance that is currently available to you across all your eligible bank accounts and credit cards. Within your Vantage Snapshot, any Avion points earned on credit card purchases will be reflected daily, whereas those earned from accounts enrolled in the Value Program will typically show up within the first 5 business days of the next month.
Note: If you close a bank account or a credit card account that has already earned Avion points, the corresponding points balance will be visible in the Vantage Snapshot for 180 days from the date of account closure. Please check the rbcrewards.com website to view all of your available points balances. After closing your account, you have 12 months to use your Avion points, which can be redeemed by calling the RBC Advice Centre at 1-800-769-2512.
The Account Status section will be displayed if you have an account that is enrolled in the Value Program and have not yet completed your two required monthly account activities that month. (You can choose from a pre-authorized payment, direct deposit or eligible bill payment.) You will be able to complete these activities by clicking on links directly within the Account Status section.
Note: For direct deposits and pre-authorized payments, the Vantage Snapshot will display our projection of your current account status, based on whether these account activities were completed in the previous month. If you make a change to an existing direct deposit or pre-authorized payment, this may not be reflected in your Vantage Snapshot until the following month. For up-to-date information about your account activities or eligibility for a Value Program rebate, please book an appointment with an advisor, call 1-800-769-2511, or visit a branch.
For any enrolled account, you may still be prompted to complete monthly account activities even if you are not paying a monthly fee on that account, or if you have not met the eligibility criteria required to earn a Value Program rebate.
No, your Vantage Snapshot could look different than someone else’s because it is customized based on the everyday banking products and services you have, and how you use them.
Note: USD and Leo’s Young Savers account-holders will not see their specific account in the list of details for fee rebates and savings.
You can access your Vantage Snapshot in the RBC Mobile app by tapping Vantage Snapshot under the More menu.
