How Deadlines Affect Past Due Transactions

If an input file of CAD payments is processed before 7:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) or 4:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST), past due transactions are processed on the date received with the same day value. If it is processed after 7:30 p.m. EST or 4:30 p.m. PST, past due transactions are processed on the date received, with the same day value for RBC Royal Bank customers and next day value for other financial institution customers.

For ACH Direct Deposits destined to Canada, your input file may contain payments with different due dates; however such payments may be dated up to 173 days in the future or 30 days in the past. For ACH Direct Payments (Pre-Authorized Debits – PAD) destined to Canada, the payment date can be up to 173 days in the future or in the past.
