RBC PayEdge is a digital payables platform designed to help you effortlessly automate business payments, eliminate manual administration, and expedite commission payments.

TRREB Members using RBC PayEdge can now transform a manually intensive and predominantly cheque-reliant payables process into a fully digital one. Enjoy streamlined transactions and combine multiple funding sources from any Canadian bank account to make payments. This includes real estate commission payments.

No, you don’t need an RBC account to use RBC PayEdge. Businesses can use RBC PayEdge with accounts at any major Canadian financial institution. Clients with RBC bank accounts can have access to additional benefits such as faster payment speeds.

You can make payments to any business or individual. This includes commission payments via direct deposit.

You will need the recipient’s bank account details in order to make an electronic payment directly to their account. This includes their transit, institution, and account numbers. Details on the information required for other payment options is available at the RBC PayEdge Help Centre

You can pay individuals or suppliers by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), Interac e-Transfer® for Business, wire transfer, USD cross-border Automated Clearing House (ACH), EUR International Payment, bill payment, virtual credit card payment* and cheque. Individuals or suppliers don't need to be RBC clients to receive payments.

* Virtual credit card payment is available for RBC Commercial Credit cards.

Payment times differ depending on payment methods however if you are sending an electronic payment directly to a realtor’s account, they typically would receive the payment within 2 to 3 business days of approval. Refer to Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) / Direct Deposit for more details.

Once the approved Payment Order has been funded and disbursed, a notification will be sent to all recipients. The email subject line will include “Payment Complete: Business Name, Order #”. Refer to “Managing Payment Orders” → “Notifications” for more details.

Each supplier profile will require at least one payment method to receive payment. If you do not have the banking details for your suppliers, you can request this information using a secure email sent directly from the RBC PayEdge platform.

Personal Information: Contact and personal details for Brokers, Brokers of Record, Managers and all RBC PayEdge platform users. Personal Identification will be confirmed via a Canadian or US driver’s license or passport.* For RBC Clients only: Login credentials for RBC Online Banking platform

Business Information:

  • Identification (Legal and Trade Name), Structure, Contact Information and Physical Address of the business.
  • Ownership details
  • Confirm individuals with signing authority
  • Bank account information (to add a funding source)

Frequently Asked Questions for REALTOR® (receiving payments)

No, you don’t. As a recipient you only need to provide your bank account details (transit, institution, and account numbers) to receive your commission payment via direct deposit.

Confirm that your brokerage has sent the payment and that you have received an email notification. If your electronic payment hasn’t arrived with 2 to 3 business days from being sent by your brokerage, please contact your brokerage.

If your brokerage has sent the payment via an Electronic Funds Transfer/Direct Deposit), you should receive your payment within 2 to 3 business days of the payment being approved. Refer Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) / Direct Deposit for more details.
