Making an online, mail order or telephone payment with RBC Virtual Visa Debit is easy! Best of all, you can shop worldwide—anywhere Visa is accepted in the U.S. or internationally⁴ and anywhere Visa Debit is accepted in Canada.

When you are asked to select your payment method, choose “Visa” or, if available, “Visa Debit”.

If you are shopping at a Canadian online merchant, it is a good idea to confirm that the merchant accepts Visa Debit payments prior to checkout. View the current list of participating Canadian merchants

Provide your RBC Virtual Visa Debit Number and expiry date, which are both listed on the front of your Reference Card. Also provide the 3-digit security code (CVV2), on the back of your Reference Card as required.

Provide your name and billing address as required.

If you are making an online or telephone payment, you should receive confirmation of your payment.

Once your payment is made, the funds will be automatically debited from your RBC Royal Bank banking account¹.
