RBC® Visa‡ Commercial Prepaid Cards

Important information regarding RBC Royal Bank Commercial Prepaid Program effective June 1st, 2021.

As of June 1st, 2021, RBC will be discontinuing the Commercial Prepaid Program. As of this date, additional funds will not be added to any reloadable or non-reloadable RBC Royal Bank Visa Commercial Prepaid cards (“Commercial Prepaid Cards”) and RBC Royal Bank will not be issuing any new cards.

Existing RBC Royal Bank Visa Commercial Prepaid cards that have been issued will continue to operate and be supported until the card expires as set out in the RBC Royal Bank Visa Commercial Prepaid Card Agreement. Funds on the cards will not expire (an inactivity fee may apply) unless your card is a promotional card.

Cardholders may continue to access cardholder support services and continue to use the phone number on the back of their card until the cards expire. You can contact us through this number if your card needs to be replaced after June 1st, 2021 (for example, because it is lost or stolen).

RBC Visa Prepaid Card - Important Information

Expand - If you have redeemed your Avion points for RBC Visa Prepaid Cards. If you have redeemed your Avion points for RBC Visa Prepaid Cards.

Expand - If you have an RBC Visa Prepaid Card beginning with the numbers 451017. If you have an RBC Visa Prepaid Card beginning with the numbers 451017.

Expand - If you have an RBC Visa Gift Card that was purchased in an RBC Royal Bank Branch. If you have an RBC Visa Gift Card that was purchased in an RBC Royal Bank Branch.

 

1) RBC Visa Prepaid Cards are issued by Royal Bank of Canada and may be used to make purchases anywhere in the world where Visa cards are accepted. Use of cards by recipients is governed by the terms and conditions of the agreement provided with the card. Some cards cannot be used to withdraw cash at an ATM or to receive any other cash withdrawal or make financial payments at a financial institution. Speak to our Prepaid Card Client Services Team if you require cards with ATM access.
