The contest start date is May 11, 2005 and the closing date for receipt of entries (in all formats) is 5:00 p.m. EST on August 31, 2005 (the "Contest Closing Date"). To enter and be eligible to win, the entrant must be a client of Royal Bank of Canada ("RBC"), the addressee recipient of an Easy Street 10K Sweepstakes direct mail package, statement insert(s) or online offer and must complete the survey (the official entry form) and (A) fax it to 1-877-737-0016 or (B) mail it to RBC Royal Bank, Easy Street 10K Sweepstakes at: PO BOX 62002 STN BRM B, Toronto, ON, M7Y 2T2. Alternatively, (C) recipients who received a Personal Identification Code (password) in the direct mail package can automatically enter by visiting our Web site at the address provided in the package www.rbcroyalbank.com/homeowner and complete and submit the survey by following the on-screen directives or (D) you can print your name, address and telephone number on a plain piece of paper and mail it to the above address. Limit one entry per person / email address. No purchase necessary.

Prize - There will be One (1) Grand Prize awarded in Canada, consisting of $10,000.00 Cdn. in the form of a cheque to the winner. RBC reserves the right to alter the distribution method of this prize upon declaration of a winner. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received by the Contest Closing Date.

By entering, each contestant agrees to abide by these contest Rules and Regulations and the decisions of the independent contest organization, which are final. The odds of being selected will depend on the total number of eligible entries received. All entries become the property of RBC and none will be returned. No correspondence will be sent by RBC, except to the selected entrant. RBC may use any or all the information contained in a completed survey and will share it only with other companies under RBC Financial Group (where not prohibited by law) so that it (or they) may promote their services to each entrant and add the information to client lists prepared for that purpose. By entering this contest, each contestant consents to such use.

Random Draw - A random draw will be conducted by our independent judges on or about Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. EST in Brantford, Ontario from all eligible entries received. In order to win, the selected entrant will be contacted by mail, telephone, email or courier, must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without mechanical aid and must be eligible according to these Rules and Regulations. If a selected entrant incorrectly answers the skill-testing question or cannot be contacted within 21 days of being selected, his or her entry will be disqualified and another eligible entrant will be randomly selected until the prize has been awarded. The winner will be notified by RBC to make arrangements for the awarding of the prize. The winner will be required to sign a standard Declaration and Liability Release form and consent to the use of their name, city and/or province and/or photograph, without further compensation, in any publicity carried out by RBC and/or its advertising and promotional agencies relative to this contest.

The grand prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable. Any substitution of the grand prize will be at the sole discretion of RBC.

The contest is open to clients of RBC who are residents of Canada that have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence on or before May 11, 2005 and who are the addressee recipient of the Direct Mail package, sweepstakes email or statement inserts. Employees and those with whom they are domiciled of RBC, its subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, advertising and promotional agencies and the independent contest judging organization are not eligible.

RBC is not responsible for entries which may be lost, misdirected, delayed or for any failure of the Web site during the promotion period, for any technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by RBC on account of technical congestion on the internet or the Web site, or for any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from completing the online questionnaire or down-loading of any material in the promotion. RBC reserves the right, at its sole discretion and with the approval of the Regie to cancel or suspend the Web site portion of this contest should a virus, worm, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of RBC corrupt the security, data integrity or proper administration of the contest. Any attempts to deliberately damage any Web site or to undermine to legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws and, should such an attempt be made, RBC reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

For residents of Québec: any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Regie des alcools, des courses et jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Regie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement. For all other participants, any litigation or actions of any kind must be initiated in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

This contest is subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws in Canada. This contest is void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law.
