Student Programs
RBC Royal Bank has developed an educational awards program to assist Aboriginal Canadians in attending or applying to post-secondary programs in Canada. Five educational awards are offered to students in disciplines relevant to the banking industry. The awards assist with the cost of tuition, text books and supplies, and contribute to living expenses during the academic year. The maximum amount of each award is $4,000 a year to a maximum of four years. Summer employment is also offered to the award recipients.
This program provides summer employment to Aboriginal students in Grades 9 through 12 to encourage them to continue their education. Training is provided for a customer services representative position, as well as helping students learn about other administrative areas within a branch.
