“Our divorce is not our failure. It might be our greatest accomplishment.” Dr. Suzanne Vickberg — author of Divorce by Design, coach, unapologetic introvert and divorce revolutionary — faced a stay-or-go choice when her marriage ended. But she questioned if there were only two options. She determined there was another way. One day she moved into the guest room and never went back.
Why does anyone have to move out? In this episode of Chatter That Matters, Dr. Vickberg talks about why her marriage ended, why she wrote the book, how she felt when her husband started dating right away and what it’s like living under the same roof as her ex and his new wife. Making a move everyone said was a bad idea, Dr. Vickberg proves that divorce is not always terrible and that couples don’t need to decide between two bad choices.
Sharing how her life and the whole family are better post-divorce, Dr. Vickberg offers hope, happiness and the possibility of an alternative to a traditionally painful journey.
