Helping Communities Prosper
Our purpose at RBC is to help our communities prosper with a focus on Youth and Education. In giving back we partner with numerous NGO’s across the region. In Trinidad & Tobago we support the TT Red Cross in assisting families in need of food support and community aid during periods of flooding. In Bahamas, we support Hands for Hunger and in the Cayman Islands, the Cayman Food Bank and Feed Our Future. We also donated over $1 million towards the purchase of laptops in the Adopt-A-School program in Trinidad and Tobago.
Proceeds from our signature event Race for the Kids facilitate the treatment of children under sixteen diagnosed with cancer in Trinidad & Tobago, the First Year Experience and the Scholarships Fund for students of the UWI Cave Hill Campus in Barbados, and in Bahamas the students of the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute. In 2020, with the introduction of a virtual race due to COVID 19 restrictions, the Race for the Kids was expanded to the Cayman Islands, Aruba and Curacao where we assisted the Big Brother, Big Sister Foundation, Stitching Casa Cuna Progreso and Fundashorn Norma I Balor in their community initiatives supporting youth.
RBC has long been a global leader in promoting Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) where we focus on raising awareness in these areas. Annually, along with our employees we celebrate and support International Women’s Day (Mar 8) and Day of Pink (Apr 14).
