ELIGIBILITY: To enter and be eligible to win, a person must be a resident of Canada (excluding the Province of Québec), who has reached the age of majority in the jurisdiction in which he/she resides at the time that they play their instant win DM card in the Contest during the Contest Period. Notwithstanding the above, this Contest is not open to employees (and those with whom such employees are domiciled) of the Sponsor and its subsidiaries its contest administrators and its contest, advertising and promotional agents and contest prize suppliers.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST: In order to participate and be eligible to win, bring your DM card to any of the RBC Royal Bank branch locations indicated on the DM card during the Contest Period. With an RBC Royal Bank employee present, you will enter the prize code indicated on your DM card into the digital interactive screen located at the branch. If you are a potential winner of an instant prize, you will receive a congratulatory message on the screen indicating that you are eligible to win the corresponding instant win prize, subject to compliance with these Contest Rules (an “Instant Win Prize”).. See Rule 5 on how to claim your Instant Win Prize. The prize code on the DM card must be scratched and entered in the presence of an RBC Royal Bank branch employee during the Contest Period. The DM card is only valid at the branch locations indicated on the DM card. Only one (1) DM card can be played during the Contest Period per household. All DM cards and prize codes are subject to verification in accordance with these Contest Rules. Each DM card and prize code can only be used/entered one (1) time and any attempts to re-use or re-enter a previously entered prize code will automatically render the DM card/prize code null and void. DM cards/prize codes that are not verified, recognized as valid or that have been previously used, as determined solely by the Sponsor, will be void and not eligible for entry into the Contest. The DM card must be an original; no facsimiles. DM cards/prize codes expire at the end of the Contest Period.

HOW TO RECEIVE A DM CARD: No Purchase Necessary. There is one (1) way to obtain a DM card.
- Commencing on September 17, 2012 DM cards will be delivered to select households in Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge, Ontario in the area of the locations found on the DM card. There is a limit of one (1) DM card per household.

PRIZING: There will be a total of 104,055 DM cards printed for each new participating branch. Eleven (11) DM cards will contain Instant Win Prize codes.
- Grand Prize: There will be one (1) DM card containing a prize code for the Grand Prize, consisting of a prepaid RBC Visa Gift Card (the “Gift Card”) valued at $5,000.00 (CDN).
- Secondary Prizes: There will be ten (10) DM cards containing a prize code for one (1) Secondary Prize, each consisting of a prepaid RBC Visa Gift Card (the “Gift Card”) valued at $100.00 (CDN).
Odds of winning the Grand Prize at the beginning of the Contest are 1 in 104,055. The odds of winning a Secondary Prize at the beginning of the Contest is 1 in 10,406. As Prizes are claimed, the number of Prizes available and the odds of winning a Prize will be reduced accordingly. . In the event that the winner does not use any portion of a Prize, there will be no extension, transfer, substitution or any kind of compensation provided. Prizes must be accepted as awarded without substitution and are not transferable, not for resale and have no cash surrender value. The Sponsor reserves the right, in the event that a Prize or any component of a Prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason, to substitute another prize or component of a prize of equal or greater value, without liability. Limit of one (1) prize per household during the Contest Period.
HOW TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE: To claim an Instant Win Prize, upon receiving notification on the interactive surface screen that you are a potential winner of a prize, an RBC Royal Bank representative will ask for your full name, complete mailing address, daytime telephone number and ask you to confirm your acceptance of, and confirmation of your compliance with, these Contest Rules. Next, he/she will administer a time limited mathematical skill testing question which you must answer correctly, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise. If you fail to answer the mathematical skill-testing question, or if your answer to the mathematical skill-testing question is incorrect, you will be disqualified and the corresponding Instant Win Prize will not be awarded in this Contest. The Sponsor may require proof of identity and current address (in a form satisfactory to the Sponsor) to verify that the DM card was obtained through legitimate channels .Upon verification, you will be required to sign a Consent to Publicity, Declaration and Release Form (the “Release Form”) confirming compliance with the Contest Rules and acceptance of the Instant Win Prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the Sponsor, its affiliated and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, the independent contest organization and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any liability in connection with the Instant Win Prize or the Contest.
GENERAL: By entering the Contest, entrants agree to abide by these Contest Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of the Contest, which are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal, including without limitation, any decisions regarding the eligibility or disqualification of entrants, DM cards and/or prize codes. Entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, its affiliated and related companies, business partners, advertising and promotional agencies, prize suppliers, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns and all others associated with the development and execution of the Contest (collectively, the “Releasees”), from and against any and all manner of action, causes of action, suits, debts, covenants, contracts, claims and demands, including legal fees and expenses, whatsoever, including but not limited to, claims based on negligence, breach of contract and fundamental breach and liability for physical injury, death, or property damage which the entrants or his/her administrators, heirs, successors or assigns might have or could have, by reason of or arising out of the entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes and/or in connection with the acceptance or use of any Prize.
The DM card/prize code is subject to verification at the sole discretion of the Sponsor, and will be automatically void if, in the Sponsor’s sole discretion, the DM card/prize code fails to pass the Sponsors anti-fraud detection measures. All DM cards and prize codes shall be null and void if found to have been obtained in an unauthorized manner, outside legitimate channels of distribution; is a reproduction; contains markings, alterations, printing or other errors; is illegible or unreadable; is not recognized as a valid DM card/prize code or has been previously entered (“Invalid DM card”). The Sponsor is not liable for printing, distribution or production errors. If due to any printing, production, online, computer or other error of any kind, more Instant Win Prizes are claimed than intended to be awarded according to these Contest Rules, or in the event that due to such error, a valid prize claim is revealed, making the number of valid prize claims greater than the number of Instant Win prize codes available under these Rules, then a random draw will be held after the close of the Contest Period from amongst all eligible prize claimants to award the remaining number of advertised Instant Win Prizes. In no event will the Sponsor be liable for more than the stated number of Instant Win Prizes set out in these Rules.
The Sponsor accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or claims caused by or resulting from an entrant’s participation in the Contest or in connection with the winner’s acceptance and use of an Instant Win Prize.
By participating, each entrant consents to the use of his/her name, address (city and province) and/or photographs or likeness, and appearance at publicity events without compensation, in connection with any publicity carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor with respect to this Contest if he/she is declared a winner.
The Sponsor will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete, falsified, misaddressed, postage due, misdirected, delayed or destroyed DM’s and all such DM’s are void.
The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or extend, in whole or in part this Contest at any time and in any way, without individual notice. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, the Sponsor reserves the right, to cancel the Contest. The Sponsor and the independent contest organization are not responsible for electronic communications which are undeliverable as a result of any form of active or passive filtering of any kind or insufficient space in entrant’s mailbox to receive email messages. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void.
Any attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution and to disqualify an entrant from this Contest or any other promotion conducted by the Sponsor now or in the future. In the event it is determined that an entrant has entered in a manner contrary to these Rules and/or has submitted more than the number of entries permitted by these Rules, the entrant and all of the entries submitted by the entrant will be disqualified.
All entries become the property of the Sponsor, and none will be acknowledged or returned. No correspondence will be entered into regarding any aspect of this Contest except with the selected entrants. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. Void where prohibited by law.
The Sponsor respects your right to privacy. Personal information collected from Contest entrants will be used to administer the Contest and will not be disclosed to third parties.
